Image Tools
Use these image tools when you need to prepare a picture for an upload, a document, a website, or a message. Start with the requirement at the destination: it may specify dimensions, file type, file size, or a particular crop. Work on a copy, keep the original file, and open the downloaded result before replacing anything.
Choose the task before choosing the tool
Changing an image file type is different from reducing dimensions, shrinking file size, cropping the composition, or creating a PDF. Use the smallest change that solves the real requirement. Begin with the Image Resizer for required width and height, the Image Cropper when the frame is wrong, the Image Format Converter for a requested format, and the Image Compressor for a file-size limit. Repeated conversions or compression passes can make a file harder to use without improving it.
Check the final file before you upload it
Open the output at normal viewing size and at 100% if detail matters. Confirm the orientation, dimensions, format, and file size against the destination requirements. Check faces, text, borders, and transparent areas. A tool can process a selected file, but it cannot know whether a third-party website will accept it or whether the image is appropriate to publish.
