The compressor is designed to process the selected image in your browser. ToolMixo does not intentionally upload the selected image to its own server for compression. As with any browser tool, avoid sensitive images and review the output before sharing it.
What is the best compression percentage?
There is no single best setting. Start near 70%, inspect the exported copy at normal viewing size, and move the slider higher for more detail or lower for a smaller file.
Does it support PNG images with transparent backgrounds?
Yes, you can upload PNG images. The exported copy uses JPEG, which can reduce file size but does not support transparency. A transparent PNG background will become white in the downloaded image.
