How to extract pages from a PDF
- Select one unlocked PDF from your device.
- Wait for the tool to read the total number of pages.
- Enter page numbers with commas or use a hyphen for a continuous range.
- Choose Extract pages, then open the downloaded file to check it.
Worked example
If an eight-page document contains the three-page section you need on pages 3 through 5, enter 3-5. If you need the first page and the last page only, enter 1,8. The original document remains unchanged on your device.
Choose only the pages that serve a purpose
Splitting a PDF is useful when a long file contains one form, receipt, chapter, certificate, or signed page that needs to travel on its own. It can make a submission easier to review and prevents you from casually sending unrelated material that happens to sit in the same document.
Plan the range before you type it
Open the original file first and note the page numbers at the bottom of the document viewer. Then enter a simple range such as 4-7 for consecutive pages or a list such as 1,4,9 for separate pages. Check numbering carefully: a cover page, scanned blank page, or document section may mean the page you see is not the page you expected.
Review the extracted copy as its own document
After downloading, open the new PDF instead of assuming the selection was right. Confirm that the first and last pages are present, the order still makes sense, and no private cover sheet or appendix remained. This quick check matters for applications, invoices, training material, and any file that someone else must process quickly.
Privacy and limits
Page extraction is designed to happen in the browser after the PDF library loads. Keep the original PDF until you have checked the new copy. The tool cannot bypass a password, repair a damaged file, or decide which pages should be shared for you. Review your result before sending confidential material.
